Doon began her musical career with the recorder, and since then has added the piano, guitar, clarinet and banjo to her giant instrument bag. Now she is attempting to learn the drums. She is currently in a trio, with the lovely Lindsay Oliver on double bass and the drummer of all drummers Nick McGauley. The seminal first album, Which Sister Knew, was recorded in Kent last year, and set down the laid-back, jazz-tinged, folk-flavoured, blues-addled sound that we associate with Doon's music.
